ETH post-Wall Street: a rebound beneath the intraday cloud — October 6, 2026
October 6, 2026 · Post-Wall Street / early Asia transition
Evidence cutoff: 2026-10-06T23:34:02Z (19:34:02 New York). Current-card expiry: 2026-10-07T00:00:00Z (20:00 New York), the next scheduled four-hour completion. This edition describes authenticated chart observations; it is not a fully qualified engine forecast or a trade instruction.
ETH was displayed at $2,695.2 on Bitstamp spot ETHUSD at the cutoff. The rebound remains below the observed 15- and 30-minute cloud. Both completed intraday bars show downward Trend V2 and Washington Cloud directions. The hourly trend is also down, but its cloud is neutral/unavailable numerically. The four-hour Trend V2 direction is up while its cloud is neutral. That disagreement argues for conditional scenarios rather than treating the intraday decline as unanimous across timeframes.
Completed-bar evidence
Times below are UTC. TradingView displays each bar's opening timestamp; closing times are derived from the selected timeframe, not from a visible independent close-confirmation feed.
| Timeframe | Selected open → scheduled close | Open / High / Low / Close | OEP long / short score | Trend V2 / Cloud direction |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15 minutes | 23:15 → 23:30 | 2698.0 / 2698.1 / 2693.9 / 2697.5 | 1 / 3 | −1 / −1 |
| 30 minutes | 23:00 → 23:30 | 2696.6 / 2698.6 / 2693.9 / 2697.5 | 1 / 3 | −1 / −1 |
| 1 hour | 22:00 → 23:00 | 2698.1 / 2700.0 / 2695.1 / 2696.6 | 0 / 2 | −1 / 0 |
| 4 hours | 16:00 → 20:00 | 2701.4 / 2707.1 / 2683.4 / 2692.2 | 1 / 4 | +1 / 0 |
The completed 15-minute cloud/outer values were 2705.2 / 2705.2 and 2705.7 / 2704.6. The completed 30-minute values were 2705.0 / 2704.5 and 2705.9 / 2703.5. Both selected bars printed zero long and short candidate events. Scores are indicator outputs, not probabilities. The displayed historical-fit values are explicitly labeled “not odds.”
Paths into early Asia
Bullish repair: A subsequent completed 30-minute close above the observed outer-cloud ceiling near 2705.9, followed by a completed 15-minute bar holding above that area, would weaken the current intraday bearish reading. The four-hour high of 2707.1 supplies nearby context. A return below the observed lower outer band near 2703.5 would fail that repair condition. These reference levels can change with new bars.
Base case: Price remaining below 2703.5–2705.9 while holding the latest completed 30-minute low near 2693.9 leaves a rebound beneath resistance. The hourly low of 2695.1 and high of 2700.0 are intermediate references. A move through either boundary changes this scenario; an isolated developing-bar touch does not establish completed-bar follow-through.
Bearish continuation: A completed 30-minute close below 2693.9 with subsequent intraday follow-through would shift attention to the completed four-hour close of 2692.2 and its low of 2683.4 as observed historical references. A completed reclaim of 2693.9 would weaken that breakdown condition. These are editorial price references, not OEP candidate invalidations or prescribed targets.
Developing context and limits
At approximately 23:33 UTC, the 15-minute dashboard displayed DOWNTREND, long 1/8, short 3/8, SETUP OBSERVING, NEXT “Session permission closed,” “60m Bear / rebound,” and “Post Wall Street Aligned trend.” It labeled its source “Chart feed · developing.” This dashboard remains developing context when the crosshair selects an older bar; it cannot be attributed to the selected completed bar. The hourly dashboard displayed CONTEXT ONLY and “Chart must be below HTF.”
The active display names were OEP V8 | Washington's Cloud + Trend V2 and OEP completed context evidence v1. Other listed indicators were hidden: OEP Institutional State Engine v7.0, OEP Ichimoku v1.0, and OEP Trend Finder v1.0. Display names do not verify source-code build, configuration or runtime qualification. On all selected completed bars, frozen candidate invalidation, contemporaneous trend endpoint, support/resistance edges, and NY daily/weekly values were empty; the completed-context evidence output was also empty. No hidden readiness, quality or permission state is inferred.
